Costa Rica is regarded as one of the world’s premiere coffee growing regions, thanks to its volcanic soil and ideal drainage. Costa Rican coffees tend to be more acidic then some, with some excellent chocolaty flavor notes and fruity undertones.
Costa Rica is one of the only countries where it is written into law that only Arabica bean are allowed to be grown. Coffee cuppers call this coffee “clean and classic” which is not the same as boring because the beans are prized for their really delicate, bright, mild and sweet flavors.
